TOURNAMENT FLOW & OFFICIAL GAME RULES

To ensure a fair, organized, and enjoyable tournament for everyone, please take note of the following tournament format, scoring system, and general rules.

TOURNAMENT FLOW

Categories:
• Novice Open
• Intermediate Men/Womens/Mixed

⏱️ Match Duration:
• Only Novice matches will be timed at 15 minutes.

🔄 ROUND ROBIN

• Teams will compete in a Round Robin format within their respective brackets.
• After the Round Robin stage, if there is a tie in wins, the point system will be used to determine the standings.
• The teams with the highest standings will advance accordingly.

🏆 PLAYOFFS

• The Top 2 teams from each bracket will advance to the Playoffs.
• The winners will continue through the Championship bracket.
• The losing teams from the Semi-Finals will compete for the Bronze Medal.

🎾 SCORING SYSTEM

• Side-Out Scoring System will be used.
• Games are played to 11 points.
• No Deuce - the first team to reach 11 points wins the game.
• Teams will change sides at 6 points.

⏰ TIMEOUT

• Each pair is allowed one (1) timeout per game.
• Each timeout is limited to 1 minute.

⚠️ DEFAULT POLICY

To keep the tournament running on schedule:

• Players and teams must be present and ready to play at their scheduled match time.
• A 5-minute grace period will be given after the scheduled match time.
• If a player or their partner fails to arrive within the 5-minute grace period, the team may be declared in default by the Tournament Committee.

📌 Please arrive early, be ready, and respect the schedule. This helps us keep the tournament running smoothly and ensures a great experience for everyone.
