🥋 Some people think Taekwondo is measured by medals, ribbons or trophies. But those who truly lived it know it’s so much more.
I still miss the sound of bare feet echoing across the dojang, the voice of my instructor correcting every movement, the exhaustion after every training session and the friendships forged through sweat, discipline and shared determination.
Life changes. Careers begin. Studies become demanding. Families grow. Responsibilities multiply. Many of us eventually step away from the mat.
But there is something that never fades.
The spirit of Taekwondo stays with us.
Because once you’ve worn a dobok, Taekwondo becomes part of who you are. It teaches you to stand back up after every fall, to respect others, to remain humble in victory, to persevere through every challenge and to keep fighting even when no one is watching.
The dojang may become quiet but the lessons never do.
Every bow, every kick, every drop of sweat helped shape the person you are today. That strength, discipline and courage remain with you for life.
🥋 You may stop training but if Taekwondo truly touched your heart, it will never leave your soul. Once a Taekwondo practitioner, always a Taekwondo practitioner.
How long has it been since your last training session? Maybe this is your sign to step back onto the mat.
We don’t chase champions. We create Champions.

🥋 Legacy Is Built Through Lives Changed ❤️
A great coach is not measured by the number of champions they produce, but by the lives they inspire, the character they build, and the people they help become better every day.
Just as Christ came not for the perfect, but for those willing to grow and be transformed, a true coach sees potential where others see flaws. Every student deserves guidance, patience, and the opportunity to become the best version of themselves.
“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” — Mark 2:17
At Batangas Taekwondo, we believe that every journey begins with a willingness to learn, grow, and never give up.
🥋 We don’t chase champions. We create champions. 🔥

🥋 Stay Humble. Stay Teachable. Keep Growing.
No matter how experienced you become there will always be something new to learn. True martial artists never stop being students. Growth begins with humility, an open mind and the willingness to accept correction.
“Regardless of how much you already know, there’s always something to be learned. BE COACHABLE. You’re not always right.”
At Batangas Taekwondo, we believe that character comes before medals. Discipline, respect, humility, perseverance and loyalty are the true marks of a champion.
We don’t chase champions… We create champions. ❤️🥋

A coach’s greatest achievement is not measured by the number of medals won but by the lives they help shape.
True coaching goes beyond teaching techniques and preparing athletes for competition. It is about building character, instilling discipline, teaching respect, nurturing responsibility and guiding young people to become God-fearing individuals with strong values.
Champions may win trophies but great coaches build future leaders.
“We don’t chase Champions. We create Champions.” 🥋❤️

🥋 Once a Taekwondo practitioner always a Taekwondo practitioner.
The dobok may be folded away and the training may have stopped but the lessons remain discipline, respect, perseverance, loyalty and indomitable spirit.
Taekwondo doesn’t stay in the dojang. It becomes part of who you are.
We don’t chase champions. We create champions. ❤️🥋

TRIBUTE to Rene Baterbonia.
Some play basketball to add medals to their collection.
Some play for glory, recognition and the privilege of chasing a dream.
But Rene Baterbonia played for something far greater.
He played to put food on the table.
He played to give his family a better tomorrow.
He played to turn sacrifice into opportunity and hope into reality.
For some, basketball is a passion.
For others, it is a privilege.
For Rene, it was both a dream and a responsibility.
That’s the difference.
He wasn’t chasing fame.
He was chasing a future.
Every game he played was never just about winning it was about perseverance, sacrifice and creating a better life for the people he loved.
While others played for applause, Rene played with a purpose greater than himself: to provide, to inspire, and to build a brighter future for his family.
Your journey reminds us that true champions are not measured by trophies alone, but by the lives they uplift and the sacrifices they make for those they love.
Respect. Gratitude. Inspiration.
Salute to Rene Baterbonia, a man who played not only with skill, but with heart, purpose and unwavering love for his family.

🥋 Respect is one of the most important values in martial arts.
Respect your instructor for the knowledge, guidance and time they invest in helping you grow.
Respect your teammates because they train, struggle and improve alongside you every day.
Respect your fellow players because they challenge you to become stronger, better and more disciplined.
Talent may win matches but respect earns lasting honor.
Stay humble. Train hard. Show respect on and off the mat. 👊🥋
