𝗙𝗖𝗕 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝟭𝗔𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁, 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻

In recognition of their remarkable performance in the recently concluded 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝟏 𝘼𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝙍𝟏𝘼𝘼) 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩, athletes from Burgos were honored by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Burgos, led by Honorable Mayor Crescente Garcia, during the flag-raising ceremony held on March 18 in front of the Municipal Hall.

Among those recognized were the 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙤𝙨 (𝙁𝘾𝘽) members from 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙤𝙨 𝘼𝙜𝙧𝙤-𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡, who represented Ilocos Norte in the 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡-𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙮 event. Special recognition was also given to the FCB Juniors from 𝘼𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡, who brought pride to the town after emerging as 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 🏆 in 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡-𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 and securing a spot in the 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙖 this coming May.

The mayor also acknowledged the dedication and hard work of the coaches, trainers, and parents, emphasizing their significant role in shaping the success of the young athletes.

The recognition ceremony was followed by a Thanksgiving Mass at St. John Sahagun Church and a fellowship lunch at the Municipal Auditorium.

The event not only celebrated the achievements of the athletes but also highlighted the growing football community in Burgos. Mayor Garcia expressed his full support for the development of football in the municipality, recognizing its potential to shape the youth’s discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

This celebration serves as a testament to the LGU’s unwavering commitment to supporting the youth, not only in academics but also in sports development, particularly in football. With the strong collaboration between the LGU, schools, and the local football community, Burgos remains dedicated to producing future champions who will bring pride and honor to the town.
