In celebration of the 11th Anniversary of the Magna Carta of Students’ Rights, Xavier University-Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (XU-JPIA) joins the Xavier Ateneo community in reaffirming our commitment to protect and uphold the rights, welfare, and participation of every Xavier Atenean.

In line with this, the XU-CSG Students’ Rights and Welfare (STRAW) Commission launches the Atenean Centralized Toolkit (ACT)—a digital helpdesk designed to streamline student assistance and grievance reporting within the university.

Through initiatives like ACT, we continue the work of ensuring that every Xavier Atenean has a space where their concerns can be heard and properly addressed.

IN PHOTOS: As the module discussion sessions officially came to a close, our learners stepped forward to present the business plans they have been tirelessly building over the past weeks. What began as simple conversations on entrepreneurship, market strategy, and financial literacy transformed into well-thought-out proposals.

Through collaborative mentoring and hands-on learning, they did not just draft plans on paper; they built visions for their future. With confidence in their voices and clarity in their ideas, they showcased ventures that were once only concepts but are now tangible possibilities.

More than computations and presentations, this journey sparked a mindset shift—proving that entrepreneurship is not a distant dream, but an opportunity within their reach. These business plans are more than requirements; they are blueprints for self-reliance, resilience, and empowered communities.

Accountancy Student Named Among MarkProf Graduates Nationwide

Vic Danielle T. Magas, a fourth-year BS Accountancy student is among the nationwide completers of the prestigious MarkProf Boot Camp, a highly competitive nine-week marketing, sales, and business leadership program for graduating and penultimate-year students that ran from November 2025 to February 2026.

MarkProf Foundation gathers top-performing students from across the country and exposes them to real-world business challenges, mentorship, and learning sessions with industry leaders. Out of thousands of applicants, only 27 successfully completed the program this year.

Magas shared that he only discovered the program last year, driven by the realization that there is more he can do beyond the traditional path of accounting and that his accounting knowledge can create impact in broader business spaces.

"As I’m about to finish my accounting degree here in XU, I’ve come to realize that my learning doesn’t have to stop within one field. The foundation I’ve built in accounting can open doors to so many different industries and career paths. I now see that I can apply my knowledge in ways I never imagined before, collaborating across disciplines, exploring new opportunities, and continuously growing."

He emphasized that MarkProf is open to students from all degree programs, not just marketing majors, encouraging fellow Ateneans especially from Accountancy to step beyond their comfort zones. He also expressed his willingness to support and mentor future MarkProf aspirants from XU Accountancy who wish to pursue the same path.

Tudlo Kasayuran invites you to take part in our Community Donation Drive, a collective effort to support our brothers and sisters in the XU Night School program. This initiative is a gesture of solidarity with learners from marginalized communities in Cagayan de Oro who are striving to change their lives through education.

Starting February 7-13, 2026, we are opening our doors for in-kind donations to provide essential comfort and resources to these dedicated students. Every contribution helps restore dignity and build the confidence they need to move forward with purpose.
