A message from SIA PE Gigie Penalosa:
It is with great humility that I express my sincere gratitude to everyone - from my home club, SI Mandaluyong, our SIA Phil. Region and to all our Regions around the world who supported me in this incredible journey of being elected as President-Elect for 2026-2027 of the Soroptimist International my of the Americas Federation.

When I joined Soroptimist in 2008, I never imagined this journey. I simply wanted to do something meaningful - serving women and girls through education. I was content to serve quietly, never wanting to seek positions nor recognition. Yet, through the encouragement and trust of many colleagues, I was led to take on greater responsibilities - each step uncertain, yet deeply enriching, allowing me to continue serving, “kahit maputi na ang buhok ko”.

Today, I an truly thankful for your belief in me, and for the unwavering support of my family. I accept this role with pride - not for myself, but for the honor it brings to our Region, especially as we celebrate this year our 60th Diamond Anniversary.

Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart!
