Rooted in love that often goes unspoken, we honor the women and mother figures whose affection, strength, and sacrifice quietly uphold our homes and communities. From those who gave life and nurtured and guided their children to those who embraced motherhood by choice, circumstance, or calling, and those who fulfilled both parental roles, your devotion leaves a lasting imprint far beyond every home youโve helped build.
Today, we recognize and celebrate every mother whose love guides, comforts, and inspires across generations.
Happy Motherโs Day.

Today, we join the rest of the country in celebrating Labor Day. Itโs a time to recognize the Filipino workers who keep our nation runningโfrom the fishermen and farmers securing our food supply to the healthcare workers, teachers, and riders maintaining the pulse of our daily lives. Whether navigating crowded streets or building our cities, their labor is the actual engine of our progress.
However, as we celebrate, we should rethink how we talk about "Filipino resilience." For too long, the idea of enduring hardship has been romanticized as a badge of honor. But strength shouldnโt be measured by how much someone can suffer in silence, and workers shouldn't have to rely on endless sacrifice just to survive. The true value of their work isn't found in the struggle, but in the essential contributions they make to our society every single day.
Behind every functioning community is the labor of people who deserve more than just a round of applause. They deserve dignity, fair wages, rest, and a life defined by security rather than just survival.
Today, we stand in solidarity with those who keep the country moving.
