Manila Rifle-Pistol & Sports Club

n from the surnames of the three founders. Soon this group gained a number of followers. It came to a point that it spawned other shooting groups. A new shooting discipline--Practical Shooting, which was gaining popularity in the US, was quickly embraced by these groups. Time came when the need to formalize the groups' identity led to its incorporation and registration in the Securities and Exchange Commission. On the 7th day of June 1988, the SEC issued S.E.C. Reg. No. 152019 to the club under its new name: Manila Rifle-Pistol and Sports Club, Inc. From then on the club has engaged into numerous activities such as:
- conducting Gun Safety Seminars
- holding Shooting clinics,
- engaging in monthly Club shoots
- participating in PPSA-sanctioned Shootfests
- hosting Invitational Shooting competitions

And, to add meaning to it's long years of existence, and to make it more socially relevant, the club recently conducted a major medical-dental-optical mission which benefited close to a thousand poor residents of Balian, Laguna. MRPSC, Inc. has came a long way from its conception. With the usual ups and downs of organizations, the club has met every challenge and emerged stronger than before. The number of members have remained constant and united. Until today, the club adheres to a unique policy wherein membership is strictly by-invitation only.
