HABAGAT SEASON OFFICIALLY BEGINS🌬️

PAGASA on Saturday officially declared the start of the southwest monsoon, or habagat, following the sustained presence of southwesterly winds over the western sections of the country.

The weather bureau said the seasonal wind pattern, considered a precursor to the rainy season, is expected to bring frequent rains and thunderstorms, particularly in western areas, although monsoon breaks may still occur.

Meanwhile, Severe Tropical Storm Domeng, located 980 kilometers east of Northern Luzon, continues to enhance weather conditions as it moves west-northwestward with maximum sustained winds of 95 kph.
