𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐩 (𝐈𝐂𝐂) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔🌊

Earlier today at Barangay Malobago, the Local Youth Development Office headed by Ms. Melanie C. Menchavez, joined the global movement for cleaner seas and resilient communities.

The clean-up activity was initiated by Menro-Cataingan headed by Noel Rivera Mapula and was participated by LGU Employees, National Agencies, EYA, CBSG, Barangay and SK Officials of Brgy. Malobago, and community volunteers.

Guided by this year's theme: "𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬", it emphasizes that clean oceans are the key to more resilient communities — from the protection of marine ecosystems to the livelihoods of fisherfolk and addressing the climate change challenges faced by our community.

This Coastal Clean-up Activity reaffirms our dedication to keeping our seas clean, protecting our natural resources, and building a resilient community for future generations.

Under the leadership of Mayor Maasahan, Hon. Alvin C. Adoptante, we remain committed to protecting and preserving our natural resources that sustains us.

Cataingan Municipal College - Red Cross Youth Council (CMC-RCYC)) is now officially a YORP registered organization under National Youth Commission (NYC).

The Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) is a program of the National Youth Commission (NYC) that facilitates the registration of Youth Organizations (YOs) and Youth Serving Organizations (YSOs) to ensure access and participation to NYC-initiated programs nationwide.

As a YORP member, the organization is elegible of the following benefits:
1. To receive free trainings exclusively for YORP;
2. To use the YORP seal/logo in letters, publication materials, collaterals, and others;
3. To be prioritized in the selection of representaives for youth consultations, NYC events, international programs, etc;
4. To request for endorsement from NYC through YORP Advisory;
5. To participate in the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC).

𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗞-𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗖 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

The Joint Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) and Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) 3rd Quarter Meeting was successfully convened on September 10, 2026 at the Executive Lounge, 2nd Floor, Municipal Building, Cataingan, Masbate.

The meeting was presided by Hon. Jeremy Patrick C. Mapula, SK Municipal Federation President and Chairperson of the LYDC.

The SK agenda included the discussion on the SK Full Public Disclosure Policy: Posting of SK Related Documents in the (SKFPD) Policy Board, by LGOO Jesusa N. Margallo, MLGOO. Followed by the Orientation on New DILG Masbate Electronic SK Full Public Disclosure Policy Reporting and Compliance Monitoring System, by Ms. Gladys Alcaraz, DlLG Cataingan Support Staff. Also discussed was the SK Web Portal by Hon. Joram Stewart P. Caballas, SK Chairperson of Barangay Pawican. Other compliance monitoring such as SK Inventory Team (SKIT) and separation of account are highlighted.

For the LYDC, Ms. Melanie C. Menchavez, Youth Development Officer III, presented the Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP) accomplishments and provided updates on the 3rd Quarter Projects, Programs, and Activities (PPAs). Other youth concerns, advocacy, and proposals for impactful youth-led programs for the remaining quarter were encouraged.

Atty. Felimon R. Majuca III, Municipal Administrator delivered his closing remarks on behalf of Municipal Mayor, Hon. Alvin C. Adoptante, reminding the young leaders to continue serving with discipline, humility, integrity, and purpose.

The meeting concluded with a photo opportunity with all SK Chairpersons, LYDC Members, Municipal Officials, and Youth Volunteers.

Our sincerest gratitude to Municipal Mayor Hon. Alvin C. Adoptante for his continued trust and unwavering support to youth programs — empowering and developing the young leaders for a brighter and better Cataingan.
