The second weapon, a .38 caliber revolver, was verified as registered to a private security agency based in Cebu City.

Police Regional Office 8 has taken two junior high school students into custody in connection with the incident, which left three learners dead and seven others injured. Following a swift manhunt, authorities apprehended the suspects and placed them under police custody. They will be turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office, with officials saying child-sensitive procedures are being observed.
