The 21-Country Filipino Overseas Vlogger Awards recognizes Filipino vloggers living and working abroad, particularly overseas workers who remain Filipino citizens and have not fully changed their citizenship. The list represents 21 countries and territories with significant Filipino communities, with only one vlogger representing each country or territory.
The countries and territories included are Australia, Bahrain, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, plus an International Seafarer Category for Filipino vloggers who do not have a permanent address because of their seafaring careers.
The nominees are Filipino overseas workers or members of the Filipino community who have a good reputation and are known for helping fellow Filipinos, providing informative content, promoting Filipino culture, and making a positive contribution to the community. The nominees will be evaluated and voted on by the Philippine Vlogger Circle, consisting of 19 judges.
The judges will rank all qualified nominees based on their reputation, quality of content, community involvement, usefulness of their information, and overall contribution to Filipinos overseas.
The 12 winners will have equal recognition, with no first, second, or third place, because the purpose of the award is to recognize their individual contributions rather than determine who is better than the others.
For this year’s selection, no Filipino vlogger from the United Arab Emirates, Oman or Bahrain qualified because the nominated creators were considered to be primarily focused on selling products, commercial endorsements, and promotional content rather than community-oriented and informative vlogging.
Some other countries also did not submit qualified nominees because the potential creators either focused mainly on themselves, did not sufficiently engage with the Filipino community, or did not meet the criteria for genuine long-form vlogging. Short-form videos alone are not considered sufficient for this recognition because the award focuses on established vlog content, meaningful storytelling, useful information, and sustained community engagement.
The main purpose of the recognition is to honor Filipino vloggers abroad who use their platforms not only for entertainment or personal promotion but also to help, educate, inspire, and connect Filipinos around the world.
