"An NCFP sanctioned Chess tournament in affiliation with Cebu School of Chess"

✅ TOURNAMENT DETAILS:
• Schedule: Saturday, March 18 @ 11AM
• Venue: 4th floor Robinsons Galleria in front of Daiso Japan
• Platform: Over the board
• Tournament Format: 7 Round Swiss
• Time control: 15 minutes + 5 seconds

✅ REGISTRATION FEE:
• Adults: P250
• Kiddies (16 yrs old & below): P200
• Ladies: P200
• Onsite: P300

📌 Prize Distribution
• No sharing of prizes
• A player may receive 1 prize for Top Finisher and 1 prize for Special Awards

✅ TOURNAMENT RULES:
• FIDE Law of Chess applies
• NO DRAW OFFERS BEFORE 30 MOVES. Drawn games before 30 moves voids points for that game for both players. Players must play to the best of their abilities and must fight for a win until the end of the match.
• Any players caught cheating including match fixing will be forfeited for that game. Match fixing includes point shaving (giving away the game), any form of collusion (one money) and other forms of cheating.
• We encourage players to report any suspicious activities. This will help us organize quality tournaments in the future.
• Organizers have the right to refuse registration from players with past history of cheating.

✅ RATING SYSTEM
• FIDE ratings will be used in the tournament

✅ TIEBREAK:
FIDE recommended tiebreaks for Swiss tournaments where not all ratings are consistent:
• Buchholz Cut 1
• Buchholz
• Sonneborn-Berger
• Most Number of Victories (including forfeits)
• Direct Encounter

Future tournaments held by Cebu School of Chess will all be sanctioned by the NCFP. We are also striving to make our tournaments as FIDE tournaments so players will have their ratings under FIDE.

In lieu with this, players will have to be a member under the NCFP to play in our events. Membership will be P300. Keep posted because we have an upcoming tournament this early April!
