The sports center has encouraged many a Cebuano to take an interest in sports and live a healthier lifestyle. This has also inspired the development of different kinds of sports activities. In 1993, Cebu had won the bidding for the hosting of the 1994 Palarong Pambansa (Philippine National Games). 📢 Earthquake Drill 2026 (June 18, 2026)
The Cebu City Sports Center successfully conducted an Earthquake Drill together with the Cebu City Sports Center staff, Cebu City Sports Commission, Sinulog Foundation, students and teachers of Abellana National School, Cebu City Central School, and other offices within the sports center.
