⚽❤️ PALARO STORY | A Supporter from Afar

Who would have thought that somewhere out there, someone has been quietly following your journey, admiring the way you play, and drawing inspiration from your passion for the game?

After our CVIRAA Region 7 Secondary Football Team's campaign in the Palarong Pambansa came to an end, the boys took some time to explore the beautiful sights of Agusan del Sur and nearby towns. Little did they know that one of the most memorable moments of their trip would happen in a simple carenderia in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

There, the team met an unexpected supporter.

Shanjii Cababat, a local resident, immediately recognized the Don Bosco players and approached them. For quite some time, he had been following and supporting the team throughout their Palarong Pambansa journey.

When asked how long he had been following the team, Shanjii shared:

"Pag adto nila ug Nilayagan (Agusan), gina-abangan gyud nako na sila. Usahay motan-aw ko sa live, usahay personal."

Asked why he supported the team, he replied:

"Maka-bilib kaayo manula, abtik kaayo ug kusog mudagan. Si Dolloso gyud ako mabantayan. Kabalo gyud sila makapa-bilib!"

As a token of appreciation, the players gifted Shanjii a team jersey and a pair of shorts—something he never expected.

"Na-shock ko kay supportive na gani ko nila, unya timing kaayo nga nangaon sila diri sa amoa. Grabe kaayo akong kalipay nga natagaan ko ug t-shirt ug short. Di gyud ko katoo. Salamat kaayo, Team Bosco!" he shared.

For Shanjii, it may have been one of the happiest days of his life. But for our players, it was equally special. It reminded them that every sacrifice, every training session, every drop of sweat, and every moment spent chasing their dreams had touched and inspired someone else's life.

Sometimes, the greatest victories are not measured by trophies or medals. They are found in the people whose lives you inspire along the way.

From Cebu to Mindanao, football created a connection that neither distance nor circumstance could break.

That is football. That is sportsmanship. That is unity.

Heads high, Central Visayas R7!

It is sad to announce that due to goal difference, Central Visayas R7 failed to advance to the Quarterfinals of the Palarong Pambansa.

With a record of 2 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss, our boys gave everything they had on the field. However, the defeat against Negros Island Region R18 proved to be the game changer.

One tough game may have changed the standings, but it will never define this team.

The journey may have ended earlier than we hoped, but your fight, heart, and determination never went unnoticed.

Every setback is part of the comeback story. Keep grinding, keep believing, and come back stronger next time. The whole Region VII stands proud of you!

⚽🔥 Another victory for Central Visayas!

The CVIRAA R7 Secondary Football Team secured another crucial win in the Palarong Pambansa 2026 after defeating Region 14 CARAA with a convincing 2-0 performance.

Voughn Gabriel Zapanta opened the scoring in the 23rd minute of the first half, followed by another goal from Ray Augustine Abuzo in the 28th minute to give Team Central Visayas an early advantage.

In the second half, the Cordillera booters tightened their defense and pushed hard to get on the scoreboard, but our boys stayed disciplined and focused defensively until the final whistle.

Central Visayas will face powerhouse Negros Island on May 27, 2026, in their final elimination match. A crucial game that will determine our standing in the bracket. One game at a time, one step closer to the goal. 🙏

Full time: Central Visayas R7 settles for a hard-fought 1-1 draw against MIMAROPA Region 4B in our second match of the Palarong Pambansa 2026!

The Southern Tagalogs struck first through a penalty following a handball in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead. But our boys showed grit and composure, making key adjustments and responding early in the second half with an equalizer from John Jacob Go!

Both squads tightened up defensively and battled until the final whistle. One point earned, lessons learned, and momentum still alive. One game at a time, boys! Keep fighting !!
