Bergamini is one of the best in the world when it comes to playing from the back. He covers the court with his impressive speed and his quick decision-making which are incredible.

He also shares his thoughts on his similarities with Chingotto and what makes Galán’s game so incredible.👀

After more than a decade competing at the highest level, there’s a lot to learn from his experience.

Do you follow these tips when you play? 🤔

Padel is it’s highly strategic team sport.

Every shot and every movement matters. You need to observe your opponents, stay connected with your partner, and read the game constantly.

When should you play a lob?
When should you move forward?
When should you follow your partner?

These are some questions you need to answer on every point.

Don’t move just because you think you should. Move with purpose.

Do you follow and trust your partner?👀

Javi Leal and Fran Guerrero won over the world No. 1 pair, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia...

What can we learn from them?

They played with incredible intensity and they applied pressure by moving forward together whenever the opportunity was there without rushing to play defensive and poor lobs.

But here’s the key: you need to know when to move forward at the right moment. Knowing when to do it (ps: they play a low volley...) is just as important as knowing how. (You play a good chiquita...)

Javi and Fran have played together for years, which is why they can trust each other and react almost instinctively in high-pressure situations.

Your biggest takeaway?

Follow your partner. Play as a team. Understand each other.

The best pairs don’t play two separate matches... they move as one.

Is technique more important than tactics?
Is there only one right way to play?

It’s one of the oldest debates in padel.

At The Padel Row, we believe everything matters but even more importantly, we believe every player should discover their own way of playing.

As the saying goes: “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

That’s why our training, guided by professional coaches, is designed to challenge you, build your confidence, and help you reach the next level.

Because when you understand who you are on court and why you play the way you do, you’ll always find your way.

Do you overthink when playing?
or do you play with confidence even when you are under pressure?

How good is your backhand volley?

The truth is, it doesn’t really matter how well you can execute a shot in practice. The real test comes when you’re competing in a real match.

That’s when you have an opponent putting you under pressure, there's the score, sometimes even your partner... And then there’s yourself.

Because if you love Padel, you want to do your best and you care. And when you care, emotions come into play.

In those moments, when you are about to hit the ball you need CLARITY and CONFIDENCE.

Then it's a matter of time, practice with intention, play lots of matches, and learn from your mistakes. With that you'll get to know yourself better and understand your real strengths and current abilities.

Get better as a player by asking yourself: What can I actually do with this ball?

Don’t try to copy someone else’s game or play shots because you think that’s what you’re “supposed” to do.

Play your game. Make clear decisions. Trust them.

That’s how you perform when it matters most and grow as a player.

If you don’t have a great backhand volley, it’s probably because you’re holding too much tension or lacking confidence... so you are not turning your body. Instead, you freeze and end up hitting almost entirely with your arm.

The backhand volley starts with a unit turn. Turn your shoulders and hips together, then release that tension at the moment of contact.

That’s why a good ready position matters. Stay balanced and slightly low so you can rotate your hips. If you stay square to the net and don’t rotate, you lose the ability to transfer power from the ground, through your body, and into the racket.

Keep your eyes on the ball, stay relaxed, and release at the right moment. Timing is everything. Too early or too late, and you’ll lose control and make poor contact.

Which is stronger: your backhand volley or your forehand volley?

Keep your opponents guessing! 🤨

Especially when you have time, don’t rush. Use that extra time to vary the pace and placement.

If every shot you play has the same speed, your opponents will be ready.

Mix up your shots.
Play one volley soft, then one faster.... one bandeja to the middle, one to the corner...

Choose the right pace based on: the score, your opponents’ position...

Try to surprise them and catch them on the wrong foot.

Are you easy to read or do you keep your opponents guessing? 🤔
