A new chapter for the 𝘼𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙤 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙨 and 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙨 as they officially stepped into their practicum journey. It was the beginning of real-world immersion in the rhythm of tourism work — where learning goes beyond what the classroom can hold.

𝐔𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 ⚜️

Together with our fellow 3rd year tourism students, we celebrated a meaningful milestone at the 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐆𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥: 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. ✨

It was a moment of recognition not just for excellence but for the hard work, growth, and shared journey we’ve all been part of as one batch.

On the same day, we also held our Practicum 2 orientation—marking the beginning of another step toward our internship journey.

✨ 𝑺𝑻𝑴 𝑰𝑰𝑰 𝑮𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒆𝒃𝒖 ✨
A Heritage Learning Experience | March 06, 2026

As part of their academic journey, the STM III students of Cebu Normal University explored the rich cultural and historical heritage of South Cebu through visits to some of the region’s most significant destinations. The educational tour allowed the students to experience firsthand how history, tradition, and community continue to shape Cebu’s identity.

⛪ 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒑 | 𝑩𝒐𝒍𝒋𝒐𝒐𝒏
The journey began with a visit to the historic Archdiocesan Shrine of Nuestra Señora del Patrocinio de Maria, one of the most well-preserved Spanish-era churches in Cebu. The students also explored the Boljoon Parish Museum and the historic El Gran Baluarte, learning about Boljoon’s role in protecting coastal communities during the Spanish colonial period.

🏛 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒑 | 𝑨𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒐
In Argao, the students visited the historic Cabecera de Argao, including the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Michael the Archangel and the Museo de la Parroquia de San Miguel. They also witnessed the traditional art of Hablon weaving and learned about the making of Argao’s famous delicacy, torta—highlighting the town’s living traditions and craftsmanship.

🙏 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒅 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒑 | 𝑺𝒊𝒃𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒂
The tour continued with a visit to the renowned Monastery of the Holy Eucharist, commonly known as the Simala Shrine, a well-known pilgrimage site admired for its majestic architecture and spiritual significance.

🏛 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒑 | 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒂𝒓 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚
The journey concluded in Carcar City with visits to the historic Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Catherine of Alexandria and the Carcar City Museum, where students gained deeper insights into the city’s preserved artifacts, architecture, and local history.

Through this immersive experience, the STM III students strengthened their appreciation for Cebu’s historic churches, cultural traditions, and heritage landmarks—proving that learning truly extends beyond the classroom.

9 STM students stepped into the conversation where climate meets gender and culture 🌏

Not just about melting ice or rising seas —
but about mothers walking farther for water,
cultures slowly shifting with the climate,
and communities carrying unequal burdens.

At the Panel Forum on Climate Change and its Impact on Gender and Culture, one phrase stayed with us:
“Build back better.”
Not rebuilding the same fragile systems.
Not returning to the same old gaps.
But rebuilding stronger foundations —
where recovery means resilience,
where progress means inclusion,
and where no gender, no culture, is left behind.
