Today, we celebrate our Carcar Tourism Office interns as they successfully complete their Practicum 2 deployment.

Their time in Carcar offered a meaningful look into how local tourism is shaped by heritage, community, and a strong sense of place. Through their experiences, they gained a deeper appreciation of the work behind promoting a destination while preserving the stories, traditions, and identity that make it unique.

Every responsibility they took on became an opportunity to understand tourism beyond attractions—to see how culture and heritage can be protected, shared, and transformed into meaningful experiences for both visitors and the community.

From learning about tourism in the classroom to experiencing the work behind the industry—this chapter has officially reached its finale.

Congratulations to our Department of Tourism Region VII (DOT 7) interns on successfully completing their Practicum 2 deployment.

Their time at DOT 7 provided a closer look at the work that goes into promoting, developing, and supporting tourism across the region. Every task, interaction, and experience became an opportunity to understand the industry from a broader perspective and to appreciate the people working behind the destinations and experiences tourists come to enjoy.

The practicum may have come with its own challenges, but each one became part of an experience that strengthened their professionalism, confidence, and readiness for the industry.

We proudly celebrate our Mandaue City Environment and Natural Resources Office (MCENRO) interns as they successfully complete their Practicum 2 deployment.

Their time at MCENRO gave them an opportunity to see how environmental management and tourism are closely connected. Through their experiences, they gained a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting natural resources while supporting communities and creating a more sustainable future.

More than the hours completed, they take with them practical knowledge, meaningful experiences, and lessons that will continue to influence the way they view sustainability and their role as future tourism professionals.

Every journey begins with a single step, and for the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management major in Sustainable Tourism Management – 4A, this year’s Grand Balik Eskwela marked another meaningful stride toward our destination.

Inspired by the spirit of hiking, we embraced every step with resilience and determination. Despite the rainy weather, we continued the journey, proving that no rough trail or unexpected downpour can stop those who are committed to reaching greater heights.

As we begin our final academic year, may we continue to move forward with purpose, uplift one another along the way, and cherish every milestone that brings us closer to our goals. After all, every summit is reached one step at a time.

With eight weeks of meaningful experiences behind them, our HTES tourism interns continue to embrace every opportunity with confidence, purpose, and professionalism.

What once began as a period of adjustment has gradually evolved into a journey of active participation, where every responsibility becomes an opportunity to contribute, every interaction becomes a chance to learn, and every experience adds another layer to their growth as future tourism professionals.

As they continue their deployment across their respective host training establishments, they carry with them not only the knowledge they've gained but also a stronger sense of responsibility, adaptability, and commitment to serving the tourism industry with excellence.

Week 8 reminds us that growth isn't always measured by how far we've come, but by how much we've learned along the way—and this journey is still unfolding, one meaningful experience at a time. 🌟
