Together with our Honorables Hon. Ethel, Hon. Jurenda , Hon. Iris and PUROK Leaders and the Department of Public Works and Highways - DPWH held a coordination meeting to discuss the proposed Road Widening Project in our area.

This project aims to improve traffic flow, road safety, and support economic growth in our community.

We thank DPWH and our local officials for prioritizing this initiative. Further updates on the scope, timeline, and Right-of-Way concerns will be announced.🙏👏🏻

In the presence of our dear parents and childrens, teacher Mam Guion barangay officials Hon. Ethel Lastimoso (Chairman of Education) and Hon. Jurenda Dupio ( Chairman on Health) We are pleased to officially turn over one (1) television unit to Madridejos Day Care Center for the benefit of our children's.
This television will be used for educational videos, songs, and learning activities to make classes more fun and engaging.
We thank everyone who made this possible. May this equipment help in the growth and learning of our dear pupils.

CLASS SUSPENSION ANNOUNCEMENT

July 10, 2026 (Friday)

Pursuant to the recommendation of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and upon the approval of Hon. Gilberto F. Magallon, MD, Municipal Mayor, classes at all levels (Preschool, Elementary, Junior High School, Senior High School, College, and Alternative Learning System), in both PUBLIC and PRIVATE schools in the Municipality of Alegria, Cebu, are hereby suspended today, Friday, July 10, 2026.

The suspension is due to the continuous heavy rainfall brought by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), which is being intensified by Typhoon INDAY, resulting in potentially hazardous conditions such as flooding, landslides, overflowing rivers, and other rain-induced risks.

Although Alegria is not under any Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal and is not directly affected by Typhoon INDAY, the persistent heavy rainfall poses a threat to the safety of students, teachers, and the general public.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel, and continue monitoring official advisories from PAGASA, MDRRMO Alegria, and the Municipality of Alegria.

The safety of every Alegrianhon remains our utmost priority.
