CCC fields 5 teams in JGFP Interclub
Cebu Country Club (CCC), the premier golf course in Cebu City, has long been a cornerstone of Philippine golf, known not only for its world-class facilities but also for its unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent.
This year, CCC will be well represented at the prestigious JGFP International Interclub, fielding five teams – the most from any club, alongside Camp Aguinaldo. This impressive showing is a testament to the club’s robust junior golf program and its full support of the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP).
Located in the heart of Cebu City, Cebu Country Club is widely regarded as one of the best golf courses in the country, offering both challenging play and stunning views.
However, it’s the club’s significant role in developing the next generation of golfers that truly sets it apart. Through its comprehensive junior golf programs, CCC has produced numerous talented players who have gone on to make their mark on the national and international golfing stages.
CCC’s involvement is just the latest demonstration of its deep commitment to junior golf.
With five teams competing across various categories, the club is once again showing its dedication to fostering the growth of young golfers. This support goes beyond simply fielding teams – CCC has played an instrumental role in shaping the careers of some of the Philippines’ most promising golf talents.
Perhaps most notably, CCC is home to siblings Lloyd Jefferson Go and Lois Kaye Go, both of whom have transitioned into professional golf after impressing in the junior ranks. Their success story is a testament to the club’s effective development programs, which have helped shape them into two of the most accomplished Filipino golfers on the international stage.
In addition to the Go siblings, Cebu has produced two of the country’s top female players in Grace Quintanilla and Junie Gabasa.
Cebu Country Club’s support for junior golf extends beyond its own training programs through JGFP directors Baltaire Balangauan and Charlie Go.
The club has long been a key partner of the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP), whose mission is to promote and develop the sport among the youth.
By actively participating in the JGFP International Interclub and offering its resources and expertise, CCC plays a vital role in the broader golfing community.
The club’s leadership understands the importance of investing in the next generation of golfers, and its support of the JGFP reflects that.
By fielding multiple teams in the Interclub, CCC helps to elevate the profile of junior golf and provides young players with the opportunity to compete at the highest levels, further solidifying its reputation as a leading force in Philippine golf development.
Here are the CCC lineups:
Cebu Team 1 – Sebastian Sajuela, Manu Tiongko, Nylito Tiongko, Ty Go
Cebu Team 2 – Zeus Suzara, Andoni Astor, Shawn Ong, David Gothong
Cebu Team 3 – Samantha Alvarez, Zuri Bagaloyos, Marqaela Dy, Euan Gesta
