Behind every survivor is a story that deserves more than a ribbon or a single month of recognition. This June, let us sit together and talk about the victories, fears, changes, and unexpected chapters that come after cancer. Join Cebu Pink Paddlers for another Coffee and Conversations session, where sharing is welcome but never required. Sometimes, simply being in the right room can make the road feel lighter.

Today, our paddles pause and our prayers rise for Mindanao. To every life shaken and every fellow paddler affected, may you be surrounded by protection, strength, and unwavering support. πŸ©·πŸ™πŸ½

Rest week is over. The paddles are back in, the calls are back loud, and the boat is back to demanding everything from us. Our previous race gave us lessons, but we are not staying there. We are taking what we learned and sharpening it for the next fight. New race ahead, same crew, heavier fire.

Nine of our breast cancer survivor paddlers brought their courage, strength, and paddling spirit to the Heights of Healing Program’s First Philippine Cancer Survivor SUP Paddling Event at the Olango Bird Sanctuary. 🌊🩷

Under the theme β€œWe Can: Empowering Through Adventure,” they joined fellow cancer survivors in experiencing a different kind of paddle, one that challenged their balance, built confidence, and opened another space for healing and personal growth.

As we celebrate National Cancer Survivors Month, we honor our paddlers and every survivor who continues to move forward beyond diagnosis and treatment. Their strength is not defined by one boat, one course, or one challenge. It is seen in their willingness to keep showing up, trying something new, and embracing life with courage.

Thank you to the Heights of Healing Program, its volunteers, partner organizations, sponsors, and facilitators for creating this meaningful experience for the cancer survivor community.

Our paddlers continue to prove that survivorship is not only about overcoming. It is about rediscovering what is still possible. We can, and we will. πŸ’ͺ🏼🌸

β€œRacing for hope” could not have captured us better. 🩷

Thank you, Dumaguete MetroPost, for featuring Cebu Pink Paddlers during our Dumaguete race journey. We came to compete, but more than that, we came to carry our advocacy further, proving that strength after cancer is not just possible, it is powerful. This feature is another paddle stroke toward the message we will always fight to share.

What started in Cebu has now reached Dumaguete.

From our first rounds in Cebu to this meaningful stop at Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital (NOPH), our team continues to carry the same purpose: to reach fellow cancer warriors where they are and remind them that a community is rooting for them. With 50 snack packs prepared for chemotherapy recipients, this small act of care now becomes part of a bigger journey.

Thank you to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, Inc. and CFB - Cleveland Filipino Basketball for standing with us in this advocacy. We are also grateful to Ms. Felicidad Gonzalez, Dr. Marc Angelo Llosa, Chief Nurse Grace Baring, and Dr. Joel Borromeo II for opening the doors and helping us bring Pink Bites for the Brave to NOPH. Special thanks also to Mr. Ven Tabunda of Claytown Pension House for supporting our accommodation.

For us, dragon boat is not just about the race. It is also about using our strength to show up for more people, in more places.
