The Consulate General of Japan in Davao hosts the National Day Reception to celebrate the 66th birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan.
Consul General of Japan to Davao and Mrs. ONO Hirotaka welcomed guests from Davao’s Japanese community, the Consular Corps, government officials, and tourism and business stakeholders on February 19.
With the anniversary theme of "Weaving the Future Together: Peace, Prosperity, Possibilities," the gathering also celebrates the 70th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between
Japan and the Philippines and the 123rd anniversary of the Japanese migration in Mindanao.

It is with profound honor and sincere gratitude that I extend my warmest greetings as we gather to celebrate the National Day of Japan.
I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the Honorable Consul General and the Consulate for the gracious invitation to attend this distinguished National Day Reception. It is truly a privilege and a great honor to be part of this meaningful celebration.
Today, we recognize not only the national pride and rich heritage of Japan, but also the enduring values of unity, respect, discipline, and excellence that have inspired people around the world. Japan’s remarkable contributions to culture, innovation, and international friendship continue to serve as a source of admiration and inspiration.
