He is kind.
But kindness doesn’t change the weight of a tired soul.
I miss being held, not just by arms,
But by hope.

I built a home on my back—
Brick by brick with babies on my hips.
And still, he watches it all
Like a guest, not a builder.

I’m a mother of two,
But I feel like I mother him too.
They call it love—
I call it losing pieces of myself, quietly, daily.

I love him.
But I’m tired.
And sometimes love feels like a job
I can’t clock out from.

I gave when there was nothing to give,
Held us up when he couldn’t lift a finger.
He says he loves me—
But love doesn’t pay the bills or soothe tired bones.

When he had nothing, you supported all his needs and more. But now that he has everything, he counts everything he’s given you—forgetting that you were there for him when he had nothing.

You know what’s tiring? Doing all you can for them, only to realize at the end of the day that you’ve lost yourself in the process.
