Currently, the facility is only open for students taking up the course and the UP Mindanao Swimming Varsity Team's trainings.

The Aquatics Center is still undergoing Phase 3 of construction with its roofing project now nearing its final phase and is expected to be fully operational over the next few months.

Once completed, the Aquatics Center will feature the first Olympic-sized pool in the area and will serve as a training center for aspiring and homegrown Mindanawon swimming athletes. It hopes to expand swimming opportunities in the region and further strengthen support for Filipino athletes.
