Today marks the first day of the Barca Academy Davao Football Camp at the DC-UP Sports Complex, which runs from June 4 to 7, 2026.
The Barca Academy Football Camp is a four-day immersive football training experience designed for young players who aspire to learn and train the Barça Way.
Organized by Barça Academy and made possible through its partnership with the DC-UP Sports Complex Management, the camp provides participants with the opportunity to develop their skills through a training program inspired by the philosophy and methodology of one of the world's most successful football clubs, Football Club Barcelona (FC Barcelona).

NEWS | Congratulations to our Region XI in-house trainees who brought home medals during the recently concluded 2026 Palarong Pambansa on 24-31 May 2026 in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
Athletics, gymnastics, football, archery, futsal, and badminton student-athletes spent two weeks of in-house training at the DC-UP Sports Complex prior to the competition.
Region XI proudly ranks 3rd in the nationwide medal tally, securing 34 golds, 32 silvers, and 34 bronzes.
We look forward to working together in strengthening sports in the region!

DC-UP Sports Complex hosted the 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a flag Football Tournament held on April 11–12, 2026.
The event was organized by the Davao Legionnaires and made possible through the partnership of the DC-UP Sports Complex Management, the Davao City Sports Development Division, and the City Government of Davao.
Participating teams included the Legionnaires, Quezon Aspins, Tachyons, NorthMin Ants, Freebirds, Iligan Madcows, and Chirons.

IN PHOTOS | GEARING FOR PALARO 2026
The DC-UP Sports Complex is once again one of the training venues as the Davao Region athletes qualified for the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, start their two-week in-house training on 27 April 2026.
The track oval, football field, archery field, and multipurpose gymnasium are currently in use.
The Palaro-bound DAVRAA athletes will continue rigorously training in varied venues in Davao Region as well.
Palarong Pambansa 2026 will take place in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur from May 24-31, 2026.

IN PHOTOS | The DC-UP Sports Complex Aquatics Center warm-up pool has been restored for the PEd 130.1 (Basic Aquatics) course of the Associate in Arts Sports Studies (AASS) program under the Department of Human Kinetics.
Currently, the facility is only open for students taking up the course and the UP Mindanao Swimming Varsity Team's trainings.
The Aquatics Center is still undergoing Phase 3 of construction with its roofing project now nearing its final phase and is expected to be fully operational over the next few months.
Once completed, the Aquatics Center will feature the first Olympic-sized pool in the area and will serve as a training center for aspiring and homegrown Mindanawon swimming athletes. It hopes to expand swimming opportunities in the region and further strengthen support for Filipino athletes.

IN PHOTOS I Philippine Sports Commission and UP Mindanao Aim for Completion of the DC-UP Sports Complex Aquatics Center
Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Patrick Gregorio and his team visited UP Mindanao on October 9, 2025, to discuss the ongoing construction of the DC-UP Sports Complex. Chancellor Lyre Anni E. Murao and other UP Mindanao officials, along with PSC representatives, were present during the meeting. The discussion focused on the budget status and the estimated completion timeline for the sports complex.
During the meeting, Chairman Gregorio emphasized the importance of regional training centers for specific sports and shared his vision for the development of sports facilities. The parties also visited the Aquatics Center, Training Gym, and Football Stadium, where Campus Planning and Development Office (CPDO) Chief Arch. Jean Marie Juanga, Sports Complex Architect Arch. Modesto Omerglenn D. Tolentino, and PSC Engr. Maria Victoria Moya provided updates on the progress of the construction.
Additionally, the visit included discussions on potential collaboration between the PSC and UP Mindanao to ensure the timely completion of the Aquatics Center.
