Our new Athletic Performance Coach, Milton Williams, is in GenSan today until Thursday. He joins 34 other participants in this milestone event - the Hidilyn Diaz Weightlifting Technical Course.
Coach Milton was an Athletics Head Coach for the University of Arkansas in Little Rock (13 years) and Athletics Performance Director for the Louisiana State University (9 years).
During his years as an athlete, one of the sports that he excelled in was Weightlifting.

LPU Davao gives importance to the experiences our students undergo during their stay with us.
Last August 30, three young Lyceans took part as volunteers in the Red Bull 3x3 - Davao Challenge. All are members of the LPU Davao Junior College basketball club.

It was a good meeting yesterday between Coach Noli Ayo and Brother Eli Sosmeña, President of Cor Jesu College and also the president of PRISAA Southern Mindanao.
Looking forward to a friendly game of basketball and volleyball happening soon between the student athletes of both schools.

A PBA champion coach visited LPU Davao.
We are happy to have hosted yesterday the visit of San Miguel Beer assistant coach, Dayong Mendoza.
In his short but impactful time with our team, he emphasized the value of havin an "Attitude of Gratitude", the value of Humility, to always Love your School and to be Grateful always for the people who helped your journey

Emerging Young Leaders Program (EYLP) Batch Sugno alumni of LPU Davao.
Coach Noli met with the participants from LPU Davao to discuss possible collaboration. These four Lyceans took part in the EYLP last July 2025.
From the 187 applicants, 27 were selected to take part in this annual leadership program organized by the American Corner, Ateneo De Davao University. 4 of the 27 were from Lyceum of the Philippines - Davao
A mentorship and leadership forum in September is in the works.

LPU Davao was a guest at the University of Asia and the Pacific.
Coach Noli spoke in a gathering of UA&P students last April 2 and share more about Sports and Development in the context of the Mindanao Peace Games.
Coach Noli highlighted the three main objectives of the MPG -
➡️ Leadership Development
➡️ Community and Peace Building
➡️ Women Empowerment
He also encouraged the value of collaboration and working with the right people.
This event was a partnership between UA&P's Department of Asia Pacific Studies, led by Dr. Philip Paje, and by the Department of Physical Education, led by Coach Christian Dominguez.
