More Than Medals: Dragons Del Sur Roars in Puerto Princesa with Heart and Pride

After four days of intense competition under the Puerto Princesa sun, the Dragons Del Sur Dragon Boat Team, based in Davao City, Philippines, wrapped up an incredible racing journey filled with grit, passion, and triumph.

At the Philippine National Games, the team secured:
🥈 1st Runner-Up - Men’s 500m Small Boat
❤️‍🔥 3rd Runner-Up - Men’s 200m Small Boat

At the 4th Puerto Princesa International Dragon Boat Festival, where they proudly earned:

Competing against elite national and international crews, the Dragons Del Sur proved that heart and determination can rival experience and power.

Beyond the medals, this journey symbolizes the team’s unwavering spirit — every stroke fueled by trust, teamwork, and a shared dream to elevate Davao’s name in Philippine dragon boating. From early morning trainings to back-to-back race days, the Dragons Del Sur continue to embody what it means to paddle with purpose and pride.
