As of 9am today, no active tsunami threat for Davao City.
The Cityβs emergency response teams, including the CDRRMO, PSSO, CEO, CTTMO, and OCBO, have been deployed to conduct rapid assessments on the ground and assist individuals affected by this morningβs earthquake.
The CDRRMO is closely monitoring coastal areas and coordinating with relevant government agencies in anticipation of possible aftershocks and other potential hazards.
Meanwhile, CSWDO and CHO teams are on standby and prepared to provide assistance should relief operations become necessary.
Classes at all levels in both public and private educational institutions have already been suspended. Work in all local and national government offices in the city has likewise been suspended, except for agencies involved in emergency response and the delivery of essential services.
Private offices and institutions are strongly encouraged to do the same in consideration of the welfare and safety of their employees.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
