The Philippine Taekwondo community mourns the passing of Juan Ponce Enrile, the first President of the Philippine Taekwondo Association.

His early leadership and vision helped plant the seeds of Taekwondo in the Philippines, allowing the sport to grow, flourish, and uplift thousands of Filipino practitioners across the country. We remember him not just as a public servant, but as one of the pillars who supported Taekwondo during its foundational years.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family. Thank you for your service in our sport.

AFPTA IN ACTION - A dynamic gathering of Philippine Taekwondo Association practitioners came together for the 2025 Mindanao Poomsae Course and Poomsae Referee Seminar and Refresher Course, held in a vibrant indoor venue at Robinsons Place, Tagum City. Participants engaged attentively in presentations led by esteemed instructors Master Tem Igor Mella and Master Renan Desaluna from Central Gym, Philippine Taekwondo Association. The seminar emphasized precision, discipline, and continuous learning, as attendees absorbed updated judging criteria, refined their understanding of Poomsae techniques, and strengthened their commitment to fair officiating. This event not only fostered technical excellence but also reinforced the spirit of unity and professionalism in Mindanao.
