The University of Mindanao Cavalry Chess Club proudly participated in the UM CAE Sports Fest Blitz & Rapid Chess Tournament 2026. Our members competed alongside chess players from the elementary, high school, and college divisions, representing UMCCC through sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Thank you to the organizers for hosting a successful tournament and to everyone who shared the board with us. We look forward to more opportunities to learn and grow together.

The University of Mindanao Cavalry Chess Club proudly attended the Veritas Awards 2026. Representing the organization during the Award Night were Gemmuel Balceda (Internal Vice President), Von Gabriel Java (Treasurer), and John Paul Henry Marcelo (Logistics Member).

While we may not have received an organizational award in our first year, we are honored to have met the minimum percentage requirements to attend such a prestigious event. The event also gave us the opportunity to interact with fellow student organizations and several participants from the Exchange Student Program, allowing us to build new connections represent UMCCC beyond the chessboard. This milestone reminds us that every great campaign begins with a single move, and we look forward to achieving even greater heights in the years to come.
