Most of them came out of a village built for street children.

Tuloy FC is a football club in Alabang attached to the Tuloy Foundation, run by Fr. Rocky Evangelista. The foundation is a village for street children, and most of the club's players came from inside it.

In February 2026 five of the women signed abroad. Isabella Bandoja and Lanie Ortillo went to TSL Football Club in Hong Kong, who were top of the Hong Kong Women's League. Jade Ann Jalique, Shien Payag and Arjhane Bolivar went to XO United in Cambodia.

Bandoja and Ortillo had already played for the Philippines at the FIFA Futsal World Cup and the Southeast Asian Games. Jalique, Payag and Bolivar were core players in the Tuloy women's side.

Father Rocky put it beyond the club. "This moment goes beyond Tuloy FC," he said. "These players represent what is possible for Philippine women's football. Their journeys show that locally trained Filipina athletes can compete and succeed on the international stage."

None of them were scouted out of an academy with a waiting list. They were trained where they were taken in.

Five players out of a home for street children, now drawing professional wages in two countries. Who gave you the first thing you needed?
