This event features an 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and a 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for ranks 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝘆𝘂 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝗻. All members are highly encouraged to attend the prep session to better understand the exam requirements.

The Training and Development Committee, in collaboration with the Technical Committee, is pleased to announce the Manila Kata & Shimpan Workshop, led by our local senseis and supported by senpais from various clubs. The workshop will deepen participants’ understanding of kata to complement grading preparation and to illuminate the intent behind each form. The Shimpan segment is aimed at current and prospective local referees and will cover the latest rules and interpretations that benefit both shiai competitors and referees. Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance, provided by the Training and Development Committee as part of our commitment to the continuing development of Filipino kendokas. We look forward to learning and collaborating together.

This Gasshuku will help prepare and select the National Team for the 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮‑𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 (30–31 May, Tokyo).

Membership will be considered active upon completion of the membership requirements and payment of at least PHP 200.00 (for those availing the installment plan).

For members availing of installment payments, the 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲-𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.
If the full fee is not settled on or before April 17, 2026, membership will be 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱.

Consistent with the UKFP Membership Committee Charter, membership and renewal are granted only while a member:

• is in 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 with their UKFP-affiliated home club
• 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗞𝗙𝗣 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
• has 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

Where a 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 exists (e.g., suspension or expulsion), 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, without prejudice to any appeal or review available under UKFP governance policies.

Hello UKFP members,
We have extended the deadline for the AOKC Gasshuku sign up for another week, 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟭.

We encourage fellow kendokas to take this as an opportunity to set the required preparations should they wish to join the training pool.

In this respect, the coaches will be deciding the team after the first Gasshuku in February so attendance is imperative. If you are keen to try out but are unable to attend please let us know so the coaches can be made aware of.
