Since end of september we are travelling again

Unsere erste Station liegt weit im Osten von Indonesien auf der Insel Seram. Fernab von touristischen Pfaden, umgeben von dichtem Dschungel, wohnen wir in einem kleinen Resort und begleiten dort die ersten europäischen Gäste durch die unberührte Unterwasserwelt.
In wenigen Tagen geht's weiter auf die Kei Islands - hier warten Indonesiens schönste Strände auf uns...

Our first station is in the east of Indonesia on the island Seram. Far away from any touristic areas and surrounded by the jungle we are living in a small resort and guiding the first european diving guests.

In a few days we are going to fly to the Kei Island awaiting to see the most beautiful beach of Indonesia.

Fever in the tropics In October 2016, Susanne and her boyfriend Heiko travelled to Indonesia and the Philippines for three months to visit special dive spots, broaden their experience as diving instructors and maybe even find a place for their own diving school.

Hit the slopes - From the Tropics to the Alps //
Ab auf die Piste - Von den Tropen in die Alpen.

Since last Saturday we are in Austria to catch up upon skiing holiday we have eagerly missed in the last four years. Our plan for this month: Austria: Serfaus and Ischgl Italy: Kronplatz and Corvara.

Yesterday still on the beach, ocean, 28°C warm water. Today: mountains, snow, 2-digits minus degrees. That’s a real contrast. We have recorded our first impressions with the handycam. (To view the video, please open facebook in Desktop Mode on your smartphone! http://www.facebook.com/home.php )

Seit letztem Samstag sind wir in Österreich und holen den sehnlich vermissten Skiurlaub der letzten vier Jahre nach. Unser Pistenplan für diesen Monat: Serfaus – Ischgl – Kronplatz – Corvara.

Do Things And Dive at Raja Ampat

Indeed, Raja Ampat is one of the Mekkas of diving. Amazing beauty under water and also the beaches are incredible. Sleeping on a terrace of a simple bamboo hut, surrounded by water and a chilling breeze from the ocean is something that makes you forget the rush of civilization. The food variety starts from fish or chicken with rice and ends with rice with fish or chicken. It drove us crazy after just one week. However, Raja Ampat belongs to the must-seen-places for divers!

Raja Ampat ist in der Tat eines der Mekkas für Taucher. Erstaunlich schön unter Wasser und auch die Strände sind großartig. Man schläft draußen auf der Terrasse einer Bambushütte, von Wasser umgeben und eine kühle Brise vom Meer lässt einen das Tempo der Zivilisation vergessen. Die Menükarte beginnt mit Fisch oder Hähnchen mit Reis und endet bei Reis mit Fisch oder Hähnchen. Nach einer Woche geht man freiwillig auf Diät. Aber keine Frage - für Taucher ist Raja Ampat dennoch ein Muss!

Back on the road again... // Wieder unterwegs...

After we finished our working season in Takatuka and having a stop-over in Germany, we are now back in Asia to visit all the beautiful places our guests and friends told us about.

We already spent 6 weeks in Indonesia where we started off with a liveaboard from Gili Islands to Komodo Natinal Park. As Sus is now equipped with a new actioncam we can combine our video material and created our first clip from the liveaboard. So have a look and enjoy!

After Komodo we had some relaxing days in our house in Bali/Tulamben and then went to Raja Ampat. The divers among you know what we are talking about: Amazing corals and best fishibility, beautiful beaches and living in basic bamboo huts.

Now we have arrived in Moalboal/Philippines and are looking forward to a great (diving-) time here! Some new videos are already on the schedule..

Nachdem wir unsere Saison in Takatuka beendet und einen Abstecher in Deutschland gemacht haben, sind wir nun wieder zurück in Asien, um uns all die tollen Orte anzuschauen, von denen uns Freunde, Bekannte und Gäste erzählt haben.

Wir haben bereits sechs Wochen Indonesien hinter uns. Die erste Woche verbrachten wir auf einer Tauchsafari von den Gili Inseln zum Komodo Nationalpark. Susanne ist jetzt mit einer neuen Actioncam gerüstet und wir können nun prima unser Videomaterial kombinieren. Unser erster Clip von der Tauchsafari ist fertig und online. Schaut mal rein!

Nach Komodo verbrachten wir ein paar erholsame Tage in unserem Haus auf Bali/Tulamben. Danach gings ab nach Raja Ampat und die Taucher unter euch wissen wovon wir reden: Großartige Korallen, beste Fischibility, herrliche Strände und einfaches Leben in Bambushütten.

Gerade sind wir in Moalboal/Philippinen angekommen und freuen uns auf die nächsten (Tauch-) Tage hier. Neue Videos stehen schon auf dem Plan...

Ab Mitte August werden wir im "Takatuka Beach and Dive Resort" das Management der Tauchbasis übernehmen. Wir sind aber jetzt schon mal von Bali aus rübergeflogen um uns einen Überblick zu verschaffen. Wir werden ja schließlich bis zum Ende unserer 1. Saison rund 10 Monate hier bleiben.

Cathy und Kalle, die Grundsteinleger des Resorts, haben uns direkt herzlich aufgenommen. Es braucht schon seine Zeit, bis man das verwinkelte Resort nebst unzähliger kuriosen Basteleien erkundet hat. Auf den Bilder, die wir hochgeladen haben, ist nur ein Bruchteil davon zu sehen.

Auf den Philippinen hat die Regenzeit begonnen und in den letzten zwei Tagen hat auch der Wind zugelegt. Wir hatten aber vorher schon Gelegenheit uns einige Tauchplätze anzuschauen. Inventur der Tauchbasis, Reparaturen und Wartungen an Kompressoren und Atemautomaten standen auch schon auf dem Plan.

Zwei Wochen sind schon fast vorbei und übermorgen treten wir unseren 3-Tages-Trip nach Mülheim/ Ruhr an. Richtig gelesen! Urlaub in Deutschland nach rund 15 Monaten in Asien. Für 7 Wochen wohnen wir in unserem Haus in der Kleiststrasse und freuen uns einige von euch wiederzusehen...

Cathy and Kalle, who put the foundation stone, gave us a warm welcome. It takes a while until all corners of the resort and its uncountable handicrafts are explored. On our uploaded pictures you can only see a fraction.

On the Philippines rainy season has started and the last two days also the wind blows stronger. But we already had the opportunity to check out some dive sites. Stocktaking, of the divebase, repair and maintenance of compressors and regulators have also been on our schedule.

Two weeks are almost over and the day after tomorrow we start a 3-days-trip to Mülheim/ Ruhr. Read correctly! Holiday in Germany after about 15 months in Asia. For 7 weeks we will stay in our house in the Kleiststreet and are looking forward to seeing some of you guys again...
