Karate Pilipinas proudly announces the successful conclusion of the online coordination meeting with the Department of Education (DepEd) in preparation for the Palarong Pambansa 2026 to be held in Agusan del Sur.

We are honored to share that Karate has been officially recognized as a demonstration sport and is now part of the official program of the Palaro.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Department of Education, the Philippine Sports Commission, and all stakeholders for their support in promoting Karate and expanding opportunities for young Filipino athletes.

This milestone reflects our continued commitment to grassroots development and the growth of Karate across the nation.

One mindset often associated with Michael Jordan is this simple but powerful idea:

โ€œApproach every game as if itโ€™s 0โ€“0.โ€

No matter what happened yesterday โ€”
the medals you won, the titles you earned, the praise you received, or even the mistakes you made โ€” none of it scores points for you today.

Every competition begins the same way.

0โ€“0.

Your reputation doesnโ€™t give you a lead.
Your past victories donโ€™t guarantee the next one.
And your past losses donโ€™t define what happens next.

All that matters is what you bring in this moment โ€” your preparation, your focus, your discipline, and your heart.

This mindset is especially powerful in kumite.

In a match, the scoreboard can change in an instant.
You might be aheadโ€ฆ
You might be behindโ€ฆ

But if you carry the mentality that every moment is 0โ€“0, you stay calm, focused, and ready to execute.

You donโ€™t become careless when leading.
You donโ€™t lose hope when trailing.

You simply continue to fight with clarity, discipline, and belief.

In many ways, this reflects the spirit of Karatedo.

Every match begins with respect, humility, and readiness.
You bow, step onto the tatami, and for that moment everything resets.

0โ€“0.

It doesnโ€™t matter if you were champion yesterday.
It doesnโ€™t matter if you lost your last match.

The only thing that matters is how you perform now.

That is the beauty of sport.
And that is the discipline of the martial way.

Every match. Every exchange. Every moment.

Start again.

0โ€“0.
