🏸 TEAMCOCOY SMASH IT MINI TOURNAMENT
August 2, 2026

What started as a Mini Tournament turned into an event that many described as “Parang OPEN Tournament!” because of the overwhelming number of participants.

From an event initially planned for TEAMCOCOY members, we were blessed to welcome a total of 144 participants, a testament to the growing love and support for grassroots badminton. ❤️🏸

First of all, thank you to everyone who joined! We are proud to share that all 144 participants arrived on time as announced. Because everyone was punctual, we were able to start the day with an energetic Zumba warm-up, joined not only by the players but also by the parents, a perfect way to begin an exciting day of badminton.

Originally, this tournament was intended to be exclusive for TEAMCOCOY members. However, after posting the announcement, many young players from different teams and nearby areas expressed their desire to join. Knowing Coach Cocoy’s passion for grassroots badminton development, he gladly opened the tournament to them.

One of Coach Cocoy’s missions has always been to give young athletes opportunities to experience competition, especially those who have never played in a tournament before. He believes every child deserves the chance to learn, gain confidence, and enjoy the excitement of competitive badminton not only TEAMCOCOY members, but also aspiring players from other teams.

We were also delighted to introduce our Parents’ Edition, and it was a huge success! Many parents were amazed and excited, with several already saying they will definitely join our next mini tournament. Seeing parents and children enjoy the sport together made the event even more meaningful.
