Gensan Aikido Club (GAC), along with Sacred Heart Aikido Center Cebu (SHACC) shows support and shares the pride of 7th Dan Aikikai recipient, Sensei Royce Reyes of Makati Aikido Club (MAC) during the ceremonial awarding at Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba’s home at Shinjuku City, Tokyo, Japan.

I was privileged to attend the Doshu’s class and T. Mori Shihan’s class at the Hombu Dojo. I am grateful to my keiko partners, Saito San and Nakayama San for the productive sessions.

Aikido path is unending. Aikido is a way of life 🙏🏼

We are proud to announce the promotion of Gensan Aikido Club’s Sensei Maria Lourdes A. Macapawa to 7th dan , Aikikai Hombu, by Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba & Dojo-chu Mitsuteru Ueshiba during the Kagamibiraki Ceremony last January 12, 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.

There are only three (3) highest ranking Aikido practitioners / senseis in the Philippines holding 7th Dan and GAC is fortunate enough to be under Sensei Mariel’s supervision.
