1. Eligibility Rules
Beginners Men’s and Women’s Categories
• Players with championship titles are not eligible to join the Beginners Category.
• Players who are no longer eligible for Beginners are encouraged to join the higher category.
Exceptions
Championship titles from the following tournaments are not included in determining eligibility:
• Exclusive or invitational tournaments
• Special events
• Work-based competitions
• Barangay tournaments that are exclusive in nature
Recognized Local Tournaments
The Tournament Committee acknowledges the competitive level of recent tournaments within Guihulngan City, particularly:
• Pickle Grove Mini Tournament
• Calamba Summer Pickleball Tournament
Therefore, champions of the aforementioned tournaments are considered ineligible for the Beginners Category and are encouraged to participate in higher categories.

Intermediate Category Eligibility
• Players with only two championship titles are still eligible to join the Intermediate Category.
• Players who have won three championship titles are no longer eligible for the Intermediate Category.

Mixed Beginners Category Eligibility
• Players with only one championship title from Men’s, Women’s, or Mixed Categories are still eligible to join the Mixed Beginners Category.
• Players with two or more championship titles are automatically disqualified from joining the Mixed Beginners Category.

Mixed Open Category
• The Mixed Open Category is open to all players regardless of ranking, experience, or championship titles.

2. Time Limits for Late Players
First Match
• A default time limit of 5 minutes will be given.
• Failure to appear within the allotted time will result in forfeiture of the first game.
Succeeding Matches
• A default time limit of 3 minutes will apply.
• The rule of succession shall be observed to maintain fairness and the flow of the tournament.

3. Disqualification, Protest, and Replacement Rules
• Protests and replacement requests may only be entertained after the posting of official entries.
• The protest period shall be three (3) days after the posting of entries.
• Replacement of players during the tournament is strictly prohibited.
• Any player found falsifying information or violating eligibility rules shall be automatically disqualified.
• Registration fees are strictly non-refundable.

4. Referee and Line Call Rules
• Referees shall have full authority over all match decisions.
• All line calls and referee decisions are final and binding.
• No protests regarding line calls shall be entertained during matches.
• Players are expected to observe honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship at all times.

5. Code of Conduct
For Players
• Respect opponents, referees, tournament officials, and organizers.
• Abusive language, aggressive behavior, and unsportsmanlike conduct are strictly prohibited.
• Players must follow official Pickleball rules and tournament instructions at all times.
For Audience and Spectators
• Cheering and support are encouraged provided they do not interfere with ongoing matches.
• Heckling, taunting, and unsportsmanlike behavior toward players, referees, or officials are prohibited.
• Spectators must comply with tournament committee instructions regarding seating and match observation.

6. Tournament Rules
• All matches shall follow standard Pickleball rules unless otherwise modified by the Tournament Committee.
• Players must strictly adhere to the official match schedule.
• Each team is allowed one (1) timeout per match.
• Injury timeout shall be limited to ten (10) minutes only.
• Elimination round matches shall be raised to 11 points.
• Fight for Third Place and Championship matches shall be raised to 15 points.

7. Determination of Top Players
Round Robin Rankings and Playoffs
• Top two (2) teams from each bracket will proceed to the next round. This applies to all categories.
Simple Tie
• The winner over the other player/team shall advance.
Triple Tie
• Rankings shall be determined through the official point system.
• Refer to the FWANGO Point System for computation and tie-breaking procedures.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to evaluate and reclassify players when necessary to ensure fair competition.
