Last July 4–5, we successfully conducted the Youth Volunteer Formation Course (YVFC) at Tubaran National High School.

For two meaningful days, the participants strengthened their knowledge, skills, and commitment to volunteerism, leadership, and the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross. Through interactive sessions and team-building activities, they were equipped to become compassionate and active young leaders in their schools and communities.

Thank you to all the participants, facilitators, organizers, and school officials who made this activity a success.

The Philippine Red Cross-Iligan City Chapter proudly celebrates the election of Joshua Aaron Norteza Hubahib as one of the Southeast Asia Representatives in Round 1 of the Asia Pacific Youth Network (APYN) Committee Election 2026.

Being elected among outstanding candidates across Southeast Asia is a testament to his passion, leadership, and unwavering service to the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.

As the election process continues with Round 2, we extend our best wishes for the next stage and look forward to seeing Joshua continue to make meaningful contributions to the APYN Committee.

The PRC-Iligan Red Cross Youth Department conducted an initial meeting at Iligan Medical Center College in preparation for the reorganization of the institution’s Red Cross Youth Chapter.

The meeting focused on the school’s reorganization, orientation plans, and the discussion of future programs and activities aimed at promoting volunteerism, humanitarian service, and youth leadership within the campus.

We also had the opportunity to meet the newly designated Red Cross Youth Adviser, Ma’am Belen, and looks forward to working closely strengthening the spirit of volunteer service among the youth.

Together, we continue to empower young people to become humanitarian leaders in their communities.

Today, we look back on a moment in history that reminds us how one person's compassion can inspire change across the world. The legacy born on June 24, 1859, continues to live on through every volunteer, humanitarian, and individual who chooses to help others in times of need without asking anything in return.
