🏀 Game Recap: Saiko Ramen and Sushi Claims Championship Thriller, 95–90

Saiko Ramen and Sushi emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle, securing a 95–90 win to capture the championship in the ICBC 2026 First Conference.
From the opening tip, both teams displayed intensity and determination, giving their best effort on both ends of the floor. Defense was a major focus, as each side worked hard to prevent easy baskets and force tough shots.
🔥 Final Quarter Highlights
The game came down to the closing moments of the fourth quarter. With 47 seconds remaining, Saiko held a slim 91–89 lead and had possession of the ball. However, Kirk came up with a crucial steal, leading to a fastbreak opportunity where Eric Gamboa was fouled. Gamboa managed to convert 1 of 2 free throws, cutting the deficit to just one point, 91–90, with 41 seconds left.
Saiko responded with composure. On the next possession, Jesmar Garcia attacked the basket strongly, drew a foul, and calmly sank both free throws, extending the lead to 93–90 with 25 seconds remaining.
As the pressure mounted, Kirk attempted a three-point shot to tie the game but missed. Garcia secured the rebound and was fouled again, knocking down two more clutch free throws to push the lead to 95–90.
In the final 6 seconds, Kirk was unable to advance the ball past the backcourt, sealing the victory for Saiko Ramen and Sushi in Game 2 of the finals.

Saiko’s offense was powered by an explosive trio:

Jesmar Garcia led the charge with 31 points, delivering clutch plays in the closing moments.
Bill Reyes provided strong support with 29 points, consistently attacking the defense and keeping Saiko’s offense flowing.

In the closing moments of the fourth quarter, Saiko held a 91–86 lead with 1:35 remaining. Kirk fought back as Greg Lozarito scored, followed by a clutch three-pointer from Ashton Dillo, tying the game at 91-all with 55 seconds left.
Kirk took control when Lee Francis Lataquin hit a key jumper, giving them a 93–91 lead with 34 seconds remaining. However, Saiko responded quickly as Jesmar Garcia attacked the basket, drew a foul, and converted both free throws to tie the game again at 93.
