You just get better when there is struggle. If there is no pain in training, why train at all?

Some people will say ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ป๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ, or that kids lose their free time and struggle to balance school and play. But when you learn how to manage both academics and sports, thereโs really nothing to worry about. ๐
What truly concerns me is not the time spent on the field, mats, or ring, but the time wasted endlessly scrolling through social media after school. Thatโs the real nonsense we should be avoiding. โ
As parents, we need to think wisely. Are we raising kids who know how to move, lead, and persevere, or just kids who are glued to mobile screens?

Why swim?
Swimming triggers the release of several hormones that contribute to positive mental and physical health. Specifically, swimming promotes the release of endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine, which are known as "feel-good" chemicals, promoting a sense of well-being and reducing stress. Additionally, swimming can help lower cortisol levels, a stress hormone, and may also promote the growth of new brain cells in areas related to stress management.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Endorphins:
These natural pain relievers and mood boosters are released during exercise, including swimming, and contribute to feelings of happiness and well-being.
Serotonin:
This neurotransmitter plays a crucial role in regulating mood, and swimming has been shown to increase its levels.
Dopamine:
This hormone is associated with pleasure and reward, and its release during swimming can contribute to a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment.
Cortisol:
While swimming can initially trigger a release of cortisol, especially when immersed in cold water, regular swimming can help lower overall cortisol levels, reducing stress and improving sleep quality.
BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor):
Exercise, including swimming, has been shown to increase BDNF, a protein that supports the growth and survival of brain cells, potentially improving cognitive function and mood regulation.
So swim to reduce stress. And swim to boost immune system. Swim happy! โบ๏ธ
