My Kid was still very sleepy, but I woke her up because I couldn’t let her miss this.

The sun was rising above the clouds, it was chilly, and we just stood there taking it all in.

It wasn’t our first Himalayan sunrise.

But somehow, knowing it was our last made it feel different.

Some mornings are meant to be remembered.

We spent the evening on the rooftop at Club Himalayas, watching the sunset over the Himalayan range.

There was chai, freshly prepared food, momos, a bonfire, family time—and eventually, a sky that changed from yellow-orange to pink, purple, and deep blue right in front of us.

Nothing particularly complicated.

Just one of those evenings that reminds you:

there really is more to life than rushing.

And sometimes, you just need to stop and experience it. 🤍

I knew exactly what I wanted when we arrived in Nagarkot: a room with a beautiful Himalayan view. 🏔️

So I simply communicated that clearly from the beginning—and the team found a way to make it happen.

The room was lovely, but waking up this close to the Himalayas was the real experience. 🇳🇵✨

We waited on the terrace for sunrise, sitting above the clouds and watching the Himalayas slowly appear.

Then the peaks started shining in the morning light.

And when I saw Everest…

I honestly became a little emotional.

I didn’t have a clever travel quote.

Just gratitude.

“I’m so grateful. Thank you, O Father.” 🤍

After exploring Bhaktapur, we headed to Club Himalaya in Nagarkot.

The arrival already felt like a little experience of its own—beautiful surroundings, a lotus welcome, a bit of stair-climbing exercise 😂, colorful Nepali details, and a warm Namaste from the staff.

Everything was calm and beautiful…

until we realized we had left one of our hand-carry bags at the airport. 😭

And just like that, our peaceful arrival turned into panic mode.

A Coffee Stop With a View Worth Stopping For ☕️🇳🇵

“Look at the view.”

Honestly, that’s all I needed to say. 😂

We stopped at Himalayan Java in Bhaktapur, right in front of the beautiful Nyatapola Temple.

The food was colorful, the architecture was incredible, and the view made it one of those places where you naturally want to take out your camera.

Our first stop in Nepal—and what a way to begin. 🇳🇵

Bhaktapur felt like stepping into another time, with ancient temples, intricate architecture, and history everywhere you look.

We climbed up for a different perspective, and honestly…

seeing all that ancient history from up here? Priceless. 🤍

And this was only our first stop.

Our first stop in Nepal was Bhaktapur—and I didn’t expect to recognize the place so quickly. 👀

This is one of the locations associated with Doctor Strange, and of course, we had to go up and see it from above.

The stairs were steep, but thankfully it wasn’t a very high climb. 😂

The view over the historic square and all that incredible architecture made it completely worth it.

From the flight and landing to our very first glimpse of the culture and the Himalayas waiting for us at arrival.

And then we saw Mount Everest labeled among the peaks. 🏔️
