Thompson played college basketball at the University of Perpetual Help of the NCAA. He played 18.3 minutes per game as the sixth man for the Altas in his rookie season, averaging 6.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists. He led the Altas to the Final Four and recorded impressive stats of 26.5 PPG and 10.0 RPG in 2014, his MVP season.

Kidding aside, NCAA committee member Paul Supan announced that John Amores will no longer play for Jose Rizal University. Do you think it was a fair decision?
Some basketball enthusiasts suggests that he should not be allowed to play in any basketball league here in the Philippines nor be accepted by any team. Others also suggested that the opposing team should file a case on John Amores.
What are your thoughts about this? What are the sanctions that should be imposed on him ?
After all, we are just humans. We commit mistakes and learn from it.
