Bicol College proudly congratulates our student-athletes for their outstanding performance in the **2026 National Kickboxing Championship** held at the Tagaytay Combat Sports Center from May 4โ10, 2026.
More than 1,000 athletes and coaches from 38 teams across the country participated in one of the biggest kickboxing tournaments in the Philippines organized by the Samahang Kickboxing ng Pilipinas Inc..

John Carl M. Aguilar is set to compete in ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐๐จ๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ on March 1โ7 in Legazpi City, where more than 10,000 athletes from 13 school divisions will gather for the regionโs premier scholastic sporting event. The weeklong meet officially opens this Sunday.
Bannered by Bicol College Senior High School, Aguilar will represent the Schools Division of Albay in the Taekwondo competition, facing some of the top young jins across Bicol. Carrying both school pride and division colors, he enters the regional stage ready to showcase discipline, focus, and determination.
As the games unfold, Aguilar aims to deliver a strong performance for Albay in one of the biggest athletic events in the region.

The Provincial Meet Taekwondo Games officially opened today, January 28, 2026, at Mauraro National High School in Guinobatan, Albay, bringing together the best young athletes from across the province. Representing Bicol College Senior High School and competing under Cluster 2, John Carl M. Aguilar made his mark in the Secondary Boys Welterweight Division (59kg- 63kg).
In the semi-finals, Aguilar faced Mielle Fran M. Bataller of Cluster 1. With discipline and precision, he secured the win and advanced to the championship round. The finals saw him matched against Luis Jay N. Elizalde of Cluster 3, where Aguilar once again displayed his strength and determination, claiming victory for Cluster 2.
Guided by his coach, Sir Mark Joseph K. Secretario from Marcial O. Raรฑola Memorial School (MORMS) in Guinobatan, Albay, Aguilar's success reflects not only his personal dedication but also the mentorship and support behind his journey.
Through his outstanding performance, John Carl M. Aguilar not only brought pride to Bicol College Senior High School but also earned the honor of representing Cluster 2 in the upcoming Palarong Bicol. The entire BCSHS community proudly celebrates his achievement, recognizing his perseverance, skill, and the fighting spirit that define true student-athletes.
Aguilar's triumph in the Provincial Meet proves that Taekwondo is more than a sport. It is

Womenโs Volleyball: BC Maroons Battle to 1st Runner-Up Finish on Day 1
The BC Maroons delivered a strong campaign in the Womenโs Volleyball category on Day 1 of the Daraga Municipal Sports Athletic Meet 2025, showcasing consistency and teamwork throughout their matches.
Bicol College opened the elimination round with a hard-earned 2โ1 victory over Bascaran, followed by a clean 2โ0 sweep against Malabog. The team carried their momentum into their third match, securing another 2โ0 win against DNHS, finishing the round undefeated.
In the championship match, the Maroons faced a determined Baรฑadero players. Despite BC Maroonsโ resilient play, Baรฑadero took control of the game and sealed the match 0โ2, placing the Maroons in the runner-up position.
With three wins and only one loss, Bicol College proudly claimed 1st Runner-Up, marking a strong and commendable showing for the BC Maroons on opening day.

BC Knights Shine on Day 1 of Chess Competition
Bicol College concluded Day 1 of the Daraga Municipal Sports Athletic Meet 2025 on December 11, 2025, with strong performances in chess at Anislag National High School.
Jian Patrick Bon fought a tough match against Lacag National High Schoolโs Marellano for the bronze, finishing 2nd in Menโs Board 2 and ranking Overall 3rd Runner-Up. Jeremy Dongor secured 4th place in Menโs Board 1, while in the womenโs division, Anna Floresta took 3rd place on Board 1 and Pei Matsuda Marticio finished 4th on Board 2.
The BC Knightsโ performance highlighted both individual skill and team preparation. Coaches praised the players for their focus, strategic thinking, and composure throughout the intense matches.
With all games completed, we would like to thanks our players and also sir Jhon as their coach. we are proud of their accomplishments and the strong showing they delivered on Day 1 of the chess competition.
