"Advocating badminton as an interconnection of individuals unified by their hearts & passion to play" Shuttrack found its humble beginnings in the year 2012.
Four close friends who are badminton enthusiasts up until now namely, Joe Galoy, Edwin Tolentino, Buddy Perez, and Eugene Jalotjot made it a habit to regularly play during their free time. For them, it was only a recreational play back then. Until months later, several of their close friends were encouraged to play, becoming the turning point of the upsurge of the members. It was only in 2019 that
the founding members decided to formalize the growing community by creating an official club. They thought of a unique name that will not shun away from the sports that they really love. Hence, the term Shuttrack was coined, a word play for "shuttlecock" and "racket". The term became not just a club name, but a beacon of hope to everyone, especially its current and prospective members, that no matter the struggles they may face, Shuttrack will be there as a family. It will be an institution capable of taking care its diverse members to be treated as one by fortifying the team’s camaraderie. Lastly, the club will be a sport advocate and will leave a legacy by showcasing that badminton is not only a sport but an interconnection of distinct players all unified by their hearts and passion to play.
