From expressing our thoughts to pursuing our dreams, the decisions that we make today are shaped by the freedom we have. This earned liberty would not be possible without the courage and sacrifices of both known and unknown heroes. 🇵🇭

On this day, June 12, 1898, we honor the centuries of tribulation our ancestors endured under colonization— their rights denied and their dignity taken.

As we celebrate the 128th Independence Day, we remember all the courageous individuals who spoke through their values and principles. We reflect on the lengths of our history and every event that has led us to this moment. May we all continue to learn from it. 🤝🏻

In 1969, a Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan became the tipping point for Gay Liberation in the United States. It began as a “Gay Pride Day” across major cities until it eventually became a month-long celebration of gender identity (About | Le***an, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month | Library of Congress, n.d.). 🏳️‍🌈

The month of May for the CONmunity serves both as an ending and a new beginning. 💐

Answering countless numbers of items in examinations, building up the confidence to go through OSCE and simulations, and acing grand case presentations highlighted how student nurses became brave to face challenges they once are scared of.

An ending of a semester that showcases hard work, courage, and perseverance👏. For our 1st year and 4th year students, let this be the beginning of new endeavors, as Student Nurses and as future Registered Nurses. A new path that will strengthen their love for this calling⚕️🩺.

As May ends, let this letter be a reminder of the fire that your hearts carry. For yourselves, for the people you love, and for your dreams. 💌
