Lucas Glover and Zac Blair came out firing Thursday, both carding brilliant 8-under 63s to grab a share of the early lead at the John Deere Classic as the race toward the FedExCup Playoffs heats up.

For both players, the fast start could not have come at a better time. Glover sits at No. 119 in the standings, while Blair is fighting from No. 160, making every round crucial with the season entering its final stretch.

🗣️ “Playing golf professionally is pretty stressful… every start is important,” Blair said.

Just one shot back is fan favorite Zach Johnson, who skipped multiple major championships to return to a tournament that means far more than rankings to the Iowa native. The 50-year-old responded with a 7-under 64, highlighted by a stunning 45-foot eagle on No. 17 before closing with a birdie.

Meanwhile, Jordan Spieth struggled to find momentum, settling for a 69, while scoring stayed low at TPC Deere Run with 20 players shooting 66 or better.

Lloyd Jefferson Go put on a masterclass in Baguio, dominating the ICTSI Pinewoods Challenge from start to finish and cruising to a stunning wire-to-wire 12-shot victory.

The Cebuano ace sealed the win in style, birdieing the tough 18th hole despite already holding a massive lead — finishing at 16-under 272 and taking home the P441,500 top prize. 💰

What makes it even more impressive? Go conquered one of the country’s toughest courses without playing a single practice round.

After opening with a flawless 64 highlighted by 2 eagles, he never looked back, proving his game is back after a tough stretch overseas.
