Day 1 of the Asia-Oceania Kendo Championships (AOKC) just wrapped up, and Team Philippines has made its mark! 🇵🇭

We are incredibly proud to announce that Melduen Castillon has been awarded the prestigious Fighting Spirit Award (Kantō-shō) in the Women’s Individual 3-Dan and under Category! 🏅

Huge respect to all our competitors who stepped onto the floors of the Tokyo Budokan today! Facing the region's absolute best, our individual competitors represented the country with immense heart and spirit! The entire community is incredibly proud of your performance.

The Philippine Kendo Team held its last training session today at Aoyama Gakuin University, sharpening their focus ahead of the Asia-Oceania Kendo Championships (AOKC) tomorrow.

The Philippine Kendo Team has arrived in Tokyo, Japan for the inaugural Asia-Oceania Kendo Championship! 🇵🇭🇯🇵

The team is currently warming up and adjusting to the venue's conditions: getting a feel of the temperature, the vast space, and the floors of Tokyo Budokan.

The prep work is done, the focus is sharp, and they are ready to represent the flag for the tournament tomorrow 🔥
