The City of Malabon University ROTC Unit proudly participated in the 1st NCR Reserve Force Leaders’ Forum and the NCRRCDG 40th Founding Anniversary held on 22 August 2026 at Ricarte Hall, PA Officers Clubhouse, Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The activity brought together leaders of the Reserve Force community in the National Capital Region, including Ready Reserve Unit Commanders and Advisors, ROTC Commandants, and Corps Commanders. The forum highlighted the importance of leadership, operational readiness, collaboration, and the vital role of the Reserve Force in national defense.
Under the supervision of COL ALVIN S ASPIRAS ART (GSC) PA, Commandant, CMU ROTC Unit, the CMU ROTC Unit was represented by C/MAJ ALJUN JOSEPH O MARTIN 2CL, who actively participated in the meaningful discussions and activities alongside fellow Reserve Force leaders and ROTC representatives.
The event was graced by distinguished personalities, including LTGEN Rolando Bautista PA (Ret), GEN Bartolome Bacarro PA (Ret), LTGEN GLENN PAJE PA (Ret), and MGEN RONALD JESS S ALCUDIA PA, Commander, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
The celebration culminated in the RAATI Awarding Ceremony, recognizing excellence and commitment in the implementation of the ROTC program.

23 AUGUST 2026 | FIRST TRAINING DAY | JOINT ROTC OPENING CEREMONY | TURNOVER OF COMMAND & EXCHANGE OF SALUTES
The City of Malabon University ROTC Unit and Divine Mercy College Foundation, Inc. ROTC Unit, successfully conducted its Joint ROTC Opening Ceremony and Turnover of Command and Exchange of Salutes for the outgoing and incoming Cadet Corps and Staff at the CMU Grounds, Malabon City.
The activity commenced at 0900H with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the Invocation and Opening Remarks delivered by Ms. Krisha Reeva D. Caisio, RCrim, NSTP Coordinator.
The ceremony featured the presentation of the outgoing Corps Commander, Sgt John Mark P Cadlit PA (Res), and the incoming Corps Commander, C/MAJ AARON JUSTINE DELA PEÑA 2CL, together with their respective staffs.
The Turnover of Command and Exchange of Salutes formally signified the transition of leadership and responsibility within the Cadet Corps, witnessed by COL ALVIN S ASPIRAS ART (GSC) PA, CMU ROTC Unit Commandant.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of cadets, declaration of the opening of Basic ROTC Training, introduction and oath-taking of the Training Staff, and other ceremonial activities.
A key highlight of the event was the inspiring message of COL ALVIN S ASPIRAS ART (GSC) PA, who encouraged the cadets to remain disciplined, committed, and organized for the betterment of the unit, while sharing valuable lessons from his journey as a soldier and officer.
The activity concluded at approximately 1000H, marking the official start of another training year dedicated to developing disciplined, responsible, and patriotic future leaders.
