We congratulate all of our trainees for completing the tSeKtmate Chess Clinic, held over three weeks at Brgy. Palatiw Hall, Pasig City, starting August 30. This clinic welcomed complete beginners and guided them through the basic rules and essential concepts of chess.

It is an exciting sight to witness our trainees' growth, dedication, and passion for the game as each of them showed potential and eagerness to explore the wonderful world of chess.

Their improvement wouldn't happen without Sangguniang Kabataan ng Palatiw whose platform made this event possible. Thank you for believing in chess as a powerful and valuable sport for the youth, and for helping to create opportunities that spark learning and growth.

Of course, the journey to promotion was never simple. That straightforward trajectory to advancing is brimming with chaos and an excitement of life. All the ups and downs, the takes into takes, the thrill of finding the path you're going to take but the anxiety of what if there's a better move.

But with your passion, motivation, and the willpower to succeed, the world has let you be in this moment. Those four years of maneuvering finally paid off, and after all the hardships, you were finally promoted.

♟️ Recap: Scouting New Talents – RTU Blue Thunders Chess Team Tryouts 2025 ⚡

On May 30, 2025, the Rizal Technological University (RTU) Blue Thunders Chess Team held its official tryouts for both the Men's and Women's Divisions at the Boni (Main) Campus. The activity aimed to evaluate and select potential reserve players who may be called upon to strengthen the team in future competitions. The event showcased the university’s dedication to fostering athletic development and maintaining a strong pool of talent in preparation for upcoming tournaments, including those under the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA).
