We wrapped up with our General Membership Assembly, and it was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Our President, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗔. 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴, 𝗣𝗵.𝗗., presided over the session, walking us through the milestones we've achieved and the exciting future ahead.

The momentum continues at Tarlac State University for another round of plenary talks. Today’s sessions highlight how Green Chemistry is revolutionizing medicine, drug discovery, and agriculture.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮 (DLSU) enlightened us on Smarter Chemistry for Better Imaging, focusing on greening up nanoparticles to enhance contrast and sustainability in diagnostics.

𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇 (UP Diliman) shared the vital progress of the Tuklas Lunas Drug Discovery and Development Program, bridging biodiversity and modern medicine.

𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗥. 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗲𝗹 (Agqua Veterinary Medicine) showcased Waste to Wealth, presenting PROPRE BOOST as a sustainable probiotic solution for agriculture.

We officially kicked off day one at Tarlac State University with the theme "Green Chemistry for a Changing World: Empowering Sustainable Communities." The morning was filled with high-level insights from our esteemed plenary speakers, bridging the gap between heritage, innovation, and sustainable materials.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

𝗝𝗮𝗻-𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗖. 𝗖𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲, 𝗣𝗵𝗗 (DLSU/National Museum) shared a fascinating look at Cultural Heritage as a Model for Sustainability, focusing on the chemical analysis of Tabique Pampango lime mortar.

𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱. 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗕. 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗜𝗜𝗜 (UST Professor Emeritus) showcased the future of accessible tech with Paper-Based Analytical Devices (PAD)—a brilliant green platform for digital colorimetry.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗻-𝗛𝘂 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗻 (National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan) took us into the nano-world with his research on the Physical Properties of Crumpled Graphene Spheres.
