The University of Cebu–Lapulapu and Mandaue (UCLM) Webmasters bounced back strong with a 2–0 sweep over the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats in the CESAFI Esports League (CEL) Season 4 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament on March 21, 2026, at the CIT-U Senior High School (SHS) Library.

Joseph Allen “Zechnas” Sanchez powered the Webmasters with 9 kills, 0 deaths, and 4 assists to secure the Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors.

Coming off a previous loss, Sanchez said that their biggest adjustment was “making time for practice and focusing on new heroes.”

The victory lifted UCLM to a 2–2 win–loss record, moving the team up to the third seed in Group B and keeping their playoff hopes alive.| via Abigail Cardora

SPORTS| UCLM Webmasters stun UPC, 2–0, in CEL Season 4 MLBB tournament

The University of Cebu–Lapulapu and Mandaue (UCLM) Webmasters stunned the University of the Philippines-Cebu (UPC) Fighting Maroons, 2–0, in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament of the CESAFI Esports League (CEL) Season 4 on March 7, 2026, at the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Learning Resource and Activity Center.

Leading the charge for the Webmasters was James Karl “Jimsss” Duazo, who delivered an impressive performance with 3 kills, 5 deaths, and 21 assists to secure the Most Valuable Player (MVP) title.

“Ang ginawa lang namin is mag-focus [All we did was focus],” Duazo said in an interview when asked about the mindset that led the team to victory. “Tapos stay calm lang para manalo sa laro ngayon [Then we just stayed calm to win the game today],” he added.| via Abigail Cardora
