T.G.I.F! 🎉💜

The PSC women wrapped up their week with the Women’s Midlife Health & Wellness Forum held today at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex – VIP Badminton Hall. ✨🏸

Organized by PSC in partnership with Aunteh Time hosts Ms. Karen Tanchanco-Caballero and Ms. Bel Laureola, the forum gathered medical professional and wellness experts to provide valuable insights on navigating midlife as a woman.🧑🏻📚💬

“Midlife can be a challenging stage for many of us. I hope this session helps our women better understand this special phase of womanhood so we can continue to grow and age gracefully,” shared Commissioner Olivia G. Coo during her opening remarks.

The forum serves as a platform for women to gain knowledge, exchange experiences, and find support as they go through this important stage in their lives.

This initiative from the Office of Commissioner Olivia G. Coo is part of PSC’s Gender and Development activities in celebration of National Women’s Month. 💜🙍‍♀️✨

As the celebration of the All-Women in Sports Awards 2026 concluded, PSC Commissioner B**g Coo reminds us that the true impact of our athletes goes far beyond the podium. It is about the doors they open and the dreams they ignite for the next generation of Filipinas:

"The story of the Filipina in sport is a story of strength. Not only in victory, but in discipline, in sacrifice, and in purpose.

In every performance, in every decision, you carry something greater than yourselves. You carry the future of women in sport."

Expanding Our Reach Toward a Safer Sports Community

LOOK: The Philippine Sports Commission, in partnership with Safe Sport Philippines held its first-ever Safe Sport Workshop with LGUs on November 18–19 at Orchid Garden Suites Manila.

Sports units and offices from LGUs across NCR, CALABARZON, Central Luzon, and MIMAROPA participated to strengthen their understanding of Safe Sport and athlete protection.

“I am grateful to our LGU representatives for taking the time to join us today. As Commissioner in charge of Athlete Welfare, my priority is ensuring that every athlete—especially at the grassroots level—trains and competes in a safe and supportive environment. Safe Sport is not just a policy; it is our shared responsibility,” said Commissioner Olivia G. Coo during her opening remarks on Day 1.

Participants took part in discussions and interactive activities highlighting the importance of safeguarding in sports. The workshop supports LGUs in establishing effective reporting systems, crafting stronger safeguarding policies, and forming efficient response mechanism to ensure safe and inclusive environments in local sports programs and activities.

Previously, PSC’s Safe Sport workshops were exclusive to National Sports Associations (NSAs). This time, the agency is expanding the initiative to LGUs to strengthen athlete welfare and safety during training and competitions.
