Shakur Stevenson appears frustrated after his pursuit of a Devin Haney fight failed to produce a deal. Shakur says some circumstances are outside his control, but the negotiations have included disagreements and changing conditions from both sides. Haney previously agreed publicly to Shakur’s proposed 144-pound catchweight, yet the blockbuster matchup still never reached the contract stage.

Robert Garcia confirmed that Vergil Ortiz Jr.’s team is pursuing a fight with unified junior-middleweight champion Jaron Ennis. Garcia called it the biggest matchup available in the division and hopes both sides can finalize an agreement for November.

Haney vs. Keyshawn could be a real good one. Arum says Haney should be favored because he’s more experienced, but Keyshawn has the talent to make it very interesting.
